AAP is our main rival in Delhi Vidhan Sabha Elections - Grewal.
Delhi ( Sarojani Park ) 23 January 2015 -
AAP is our main rival in Delhi Vidhan Sabha Elections, National Secretary BJP Kisan Morcha and Prabhari Himachal Pradesh Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal today said that our party BJP has a direct fight with main rival Aam Aadmi Party and claimed Congress was nowhere in the contest in Delhi assembly elections. Grewal asked BJP workers put in hard work and knock at every voter's door to apprise them about AAP's lies and said if the party wins in Delhi, then it will be "invincible" in the entire country. He said that "the entire country as well as the world are now keenly watching Delhi elections. If we win in Delhi, then nobody can stop us elsewhere also. If we win Delhi election once, then nobody will be able to stop us from Kashmir to Kanyakumari and from Atak to Cuttack". He said that in this Assembly poll, Congress is nowhere to be seen. We have a fight only and only with Aam Aadmi Party. Grewal told that 2014 was an "unprecedented year" for BJP as after win in Lok Sabha polls, its victory march continued in a number of states and is now is moving towards the national capital before going to Bihar. Grewal said that Delhi needs a government which could work hand-in-hand with the Centre. He said that Delhi needs a corruption-free government and Delhi needs a government which can feel the pain of people. He said claiming "BJP can only give such government under the leadership of Kiran Bedi and the people of Delhi have realised it". Grewal said inflation has come down and the price of petrol has been cut 11 times in the past eight months during the Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi rule. He said, "On one hand, there is Modi's leadership, Mrs.Kiran Bedi's leadership, and on other side, there is Kejriwal who has gone out to become CM on the basis of lies." Grewal said Kejriwal had promised not to take the support of either BJP or Congress but later formed government with Congress backing. He said they (AAP) said that they would take action against Sheila Dixit but they could do nothing because they took the support of Congress. They also claimed that no raid was conducted on traders during AAP's 49-day rule but several raids were conducted. Grewal admitted we were defeated in Delhi again and again because we did not follow our traditional strategy of giving prominence to booth in-charge and panna pramukh. Grewal also appealed to BJP party's workers to tell people about the good works done by the Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Government, policies of BJP and contribution of Shmt. Kiran Bedi to the society.

BJP will not support SAD the protest against BSF on Indo-Pak borders – Grewal.
Ludhiana: 2 January 2014-
BJP will not support SAD the protest against BSF on Indo-Pak borders. National BJP Leader from Punjab Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal said that the Drugs are social evils and all political parties should attack collectively to eradicate from its root. After a program in Sigma College of Nursing, Gill Road ludhiana with "India ke Wonder Girl" Janhavi from Haryana a 10 years old girl child which now read in 10th standard, which speaks well english with british and american accent, talking with the media persons here today, Grewal said that our party Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will not support Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) for protest against BSF on drug smuggling on Indo-Pak borders. He said that it's well known to each and every Indian that it was the Border Security Force that was fighting nation’s war against drugs. Grewal said the anti-national dharnas which were being organised by the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) were directed against the BSF and it was for the first time that a ruling party was trying to demoralise the very force which was protecting the nation. Grewal said that the Shiromani Akali Dal is responsible as it had been patronising the production and trade of the synthetic drugs in Punjab that was more dangerous and devastating. He said that Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) have ensured easy and smooth supply of synthetic drugs in Punjab that has caused havoc with our younger generation of the state. Grewal once again demanded the resignation of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader and Punjab Government Cabinet Minister Bikram Singh Majithia after join Investigation before Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a case related to multi crore international drug racket. Grewal said that Bikram Singh Majithia should resign forthwith following the precedent set by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leaders. Grewal also reminded that BJP stalwart Shri Lal Krishan Advani resigned after his name figured in Jain Hawala Case. He said that even in Punjab Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) Minister Sr. Gulzar Singh Ranike resigned when his name figured in a scam. Grewal said that Sr. Sarwan Singh Phillaur resigned when his son's name figured in the same drug racket. Grewal stated that our party BJP leader maintained that our party BJP's stand has been consistent in this regard as the party feels that it effects the image of the government and alliance if the persons holding responsible and constitutional posts have to time and again appear before the ED in a case related to drugs and transactions related with the people involved in drug trade. Grewal said that we have been also demanding Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) CPS Avinash Chander resignation on the similar grounds from a long period. Grewal said that Bikram Singh Majithia should face the probe and if he comes clean, he can again join the cabinet. Grewal said that our party Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has a clear stand on drugs even nationally and Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi himself has made his Government of India stand clear on drugs in his programme "Man Ki Baat" aired by All India Radio in the country.

Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter case - It’s victory of truth and vindication – Grewal.
Moga : 30 December 2014 -
It’s victory of truth and a vindication, Punjab BJP Leader Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal today termed Hon'ble National BJP President Shri Amit Shah’s discharge in Sohrabuddin fake encounter case as a 'victory of truth and a vindication' of its stand that the Congress had 'misused' the CBI against its opponents for political gains and asked Congress President Shmt Sonia Gandhi to apologise to the nation. Talking with the media persons at Moga today, Grewal said that a special CBI court in Mumbai discharged Hon'ble National BJP President Shri Amit Shah in the case of Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter of 2005, holding there existed 'no case' against him and that he had been implicated for political reasons. He said that the order of the special court is a victory of truth. It is a vindication of our stand that the Congress has misused the CBI and other agencies against its opponents for political gains. Grewal said, since the Congress cannot win over the BJP politically, so it conspired to tarnish the image of our Hon'ble National BJP President Shri Amit Shah by embroiling him in a fake case. and people of the nation will never pardon Congress for its ugly actions. Grewal demanded that Congress President Shmt Sonia Gandhi should apologise to the nation. Grewal accused the Congress of not only misusing investigating agencies such as CBI against its political opponents but also for saving its own leaders including Ashok Chavan who is facing graft case. He said that it's very much clear to every and each Indian and this matter has exposed Congress Party's double standards. Grewal said that Congress now stands exposed before the nation that its previous Government tried to embroil Hon'ble National BJP President Shri Amit Shah in a political conspiracy.

BJP to ride into rural Punjab on drug issue.
Chandigarh : December 26, 2014
It all began with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mann ki Baat a couple of weeks ago, in which he singled out Punjab for the drug menace. “I have come across helpless and angry mothers in Punjab” he said, “The bullets that hit our soldiers is backed by drug money.” Anger against drugs runs deep in the Punjab countryside. The BJP, with its largely urban following, is for the first time eyeing rural Punjab. It sees the drug issue as the vehicle which can take it there. It was the AAP which capitalised on the issue and won a surprise four Lok Sabha constituencies in Punjab. A senior BJP leader pointed out, “If new entrant AAP could penetrate Sikh villages by taking up this issue, why can’t we do it?” Punjab BJP leaders have announced that party president Amit Shah will begin a campaign against drugs from Amritsar on January 12, and a march that touches 6,000 villages will be held. The ruling SAD, sharing power with the BJP in Punjab, immediately retaliated by asking the central government to stop the flow of drugs into the state from across the border as well as neighbouring states. Within days of this, the Enforcement Directorate (ED), which is investigating a multi-crore drug money laundering racket, issued a summons to question Bikram Singh Majithia, Punjab’s Revenue Minister and brother of Union minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal. The ED had reportedly prepared a detailed questionnaire for Majithia last month. Majithia will be questioned at Jalandhar on Friday. An unusually assertive state BJP, led by its State President Kamal Sharma, and National Secretary Tarun Chugh and National Secretary BJP Kisan Morcha Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal promptly demanded Majithia’s resignation on moral grounds. With the Akalis supporting Majithia and Badal refusing to ask him to resign, ties between an already strained alliance became more frosty. But when the opposition Congress sought to capitalise on the open rift between the two, and pushed for a no-confidence motion on the issue in the Assembly, the two allies stood together to defeat the motion. Notwithstanding this, the party is still firm on its demand for Majithia’s resignation.
