Arun Jaitley would be the finance minister of India after win the polls - Grewal

National Secretary BJP Kisan Morcha and Prabhari Himachal Pradesh Advocate, Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal said that there would be no dearth of funds for his state as BJP leader Arun Jaitley would be the finance minister of India if the NDA wins the Lok Sabha elections. After door to door campaign Fateh Singh Coloney with Somdev Sharma and other BJP workers in Amritsar talking with the media here today, Grewal said with Arun Jaitley holding a portfolio like finance, there would be no dearth of funds for development of Punjab. He said Arun Jaitley's opponent and Former Punjab chief minister Capt. Amarinder Singh had returned to his palace in Patiala and even Congressmen were looking for him. He said the Generals of Congress are running away from the field. Grewal said that in a row if he contested it would have been a bonus but as Shri Arun Jaitley a prominent National BJP Leader and Star Campaigner of our BJP party. He said that  Shri Arun Jaitley has deep family roots with the Amritsar city and to win elections from here would be very easy for the party with heavy margin. Grewal said with the blessings of Shri Arun Jaitley our President of Punjab Pradesh BJP Shri Kamal Sharma has vowed to win the Amritsar seat for Shri Arun Jaitley and working day and night with his team. He said that a close aide Shri Tarun Chugh, General secretary of Punjab BJP. Grewal said that Shri Tarun Chugh is a very staunch protestor against corruption and corrupt practices in the City Amritsar and he has earned a reputation for himself which makes him very popular figure amongst the urban population of Amritsar. Grewal said that Shri Anil joshi Cabinet Minister Local Bodies himself is garnering response from local bodies and under his guidance Shri Bakshi Ram Arora, Mayor who is the Common voice of all councillors of Amritsar Lok Sabha Constituency .The win margin for Shri Arun Jaitley is bound to convert into a landslide win when a seasoned politician like Prof. Rajinder Bhandari who knows what it takes to win an election  is campaigning for Shri Arun Jaitley. In this meeting Former District President Amritsar BJYM Somdev Sharma also addressed the gathering. National Secretary BJP Kisan Morcha and Prabhari Himachal Pradesh Advocate, Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal said that the battle for Amritsar was an electoral battle for a better future for the holy city and that only BJP candidate Arun Jaitely had the capacity to take the city to the next level of development. After a nukkar meeting, in a press statement here today, Grewal said there was no comparison between Arun Jaitely and Capt. Amarinder Singh. He said that on the one side you have a reluctant contestant in Capt. Amarinder Singh, who publically stated that he would not be able to do justice to Amritsar and it's people before he was forced to contest. Grewal said that on the other hand there is Arun Jaitely who will occupy an important ministry in the forthcoming NDA government, and will be able to remove all the bottlenecks coming in the way of development of Amritsar. He said that we also need to increase the number of goods which can be traded with Pakistan and these were issues which only a central minister could resolve. Grewal said that voting for Amarinder was akin to wasting one's vote. as there was no chance of the Congress forming the next government at the centre. About development work done in Amritsar Grewal said the city bus service is running successfully. He said that the flyovers and over bridges built in the city are there for all to see and a metro bus service on international pattern will also be put in place within two years. Grewal said that now we are looking forward to Arun Jaitely for construction of eight to ten more flyovers besides an industrialisation drive in the border area through a special package. Grewal said Capt Amarinder Singh had nothing to offer to the city. He said that Capt. Amarinder Singh has come for the duration of the campaign and will never be seen again.  Grewal said that his level of commitment to the city can be measured from the fact that he did not come to the city for nearly ten days after he was given the party ticket. Even now he is behaving like a decadent royal who expects people to know, tow to him and not the other way round. He said that the people are no longer enamoured by such feudal ways and will treat his candidature with the contempt it deserves. Grewal said that Arun Jaitely is here to stay and destined to script a new bright future for Amritsar.

Grewal said involvement of Shmt.chawla makes this star studded contest a mere formality as Shmt.Chawla holds an unmatched public support in urban and rural Amritsar constituency. Grewal declared that this elections may well go down in history books as one of the single sided elections in modern india . People in Amritsar love her for her simplicity and her sense of justice .During her three terms as an MLA, she chose to stay at MLA Hostel rather than take a flat. Even when she was a minister, She lived in MLA Hostel so as to reduce unnecessary burden on state exchequer . she had been a staunch Activist fighting for Women and children rights from a very young age. In the 1970s, she led campaigns against bride burning . In the ’80s when Punjab was engulfed by terrorism, she drove her moped to newspaper offices, distributing press releases against militants – a rare act of courage those days. She was among the few BJP leaders who spoke out in favour of victims of terrorist violence, including Sikhs. Following her efforts, compensation was awarded to the victims. Grewal said that Shmt. Lakshmi Kanta Chawla also campaigned for and got a fair deal for mental hospital inmates in the state, many of whom had been abandoned by their families. Shmt.
