Grewal condemned killing of two people protesting against sacrilege of Holy Bir

New Delhi : 14 October 2015 -
National Secretary BJP Kisan Morcha Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal today strongly condemned the killing of two people who were peacefully protesting against sacrilege of the Holy Bir ( Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji ), in the alleged police firing near Kotkapura. Grewal regretted that instead of identifying the culprits for the sacrilegious act and bringing them to the book, the Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and Home Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal has killed and injured the innocent Sikh protestors with hurt feelings over what had happened and they were protesting against. Grewal said that in this way the situation in Punjab is going from bad to worse, which is a very serious matter for everybody in this State. He said that Punjab is sensitive state, as the people of this state has already bore the brunt of violence for around two decades. Grewal strongly condemned the incident regarding sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib and demanded strict action against the guilty as the earliest. While expressing grief over the Kotkapura incident Grewal appealed people of the Punjab State to maintain peace and communal harmony. He said that the people of Punjab has earned peace by giving so many sacrifices but certain anti-nation forces are determined to again disturb its peace and were making efforts to put another black spot on the face of the State.
