Ludhiana: 15 December, 2015-
National Secretary BJP Kisan Morcha Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal launched an attack on Shiromani Akali Dal Supremo Sukhbir Singh Badal saying there is no need to propagate Sadbhavna as people of punjab are living in peace and harmony and all Sukhbir Singh Badal can do is to mind his tongue and think remotely before speaking on a public platform. In a press statement today Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal quoted Sukhbir Singh Badal from his recent "Sadbhavna Speech" in which Sukhbir Singh Badal kept on reciting the "Topiwala" jibe.
Grewal said such speeches can't generate Sadbhavna in the Punjab as "Topi" is a religious and cultural symbol to Hindus and Muslims who also constitute a considerable population of punjab and it's a shame to even using such derogatory remarks for people of Punjab. Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal questioned Sukhbir Singh Badal " will Sukhbir Badal stand a word against his "Pagri"? Grewal said he cannot stand it and one should feel the same for other communities as well and respect there traditions. Grewal said Sukhbir Singh Badal must feel ashamed of his thoughts which led to culmination of such lowly speeches and the equally lowly words used within them.
Grewal said Deputy Chief Minister has lot to learn from his father who is master of using cunning words at the most appropriate time to woo the voters and now Junior is completely messing up his father's legacy and the Sadbhavna rallies are not at all serving the cause of Sadbhavna but communal disharmony. Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal asked Sukhbir Singh Badal to come out and issue an apology for comments on Hindus and Muslims. Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal reminded Sukhbir Singh Badal that Sikhism is meant restore humanity and peace in the society and country not promote hate politics for political and financial gains.
