A petrol pump was looted by three bike-borne miscreants at Bhambian Kalan on Tajpur Road late evening. The police reached the spot and have sounded alert in the city. The Sardar Kesar Singh Grewal Fuel Station is owned by BJP leader Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal. Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal is the National General Secretary of the All-India BJP Kisan Morcha. He said the incident occurred around 7:30 pm, when three armed bike-borne persons came and by the time the fuel station employee could ask them anything, two of them took out their weapons and took the fuel station employee at gunpoint. Apart from fuel station employee, other people on two wheelers and four wheelers were also present at the pump. Fearing threat to life, some people opted to leave the station in a hurry, while others witnessed the entire incident. Armed robbers threatened the employees that they would shoot at them due to which one of them handed over the bag containing Rs 60,000 cash. “We could only notice the last number of the bike Passion Pro — 6337. The entire incident was recorded in the CCTV cameras and the police are verifying the footage to identify the robbers,” Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal said.
