UPA Scamster Babus exposed- Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal

New Delhi: 11 July 2017
BJP's National Leader and National Secretary BJP Kisan Morcha Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal said that UPA Scamster Babus exposed, UPA government had tried to protect the Scamster Babus by appointing them in Constitutional bodies. Talking with the media persons here today Grewal said due to collusion of Civil Aviation Ministry Babus the National Culprits of King Fisher Airlines could able to swindle 9000 Cr of Public money. The gross irregularities and fraud of this airline was known to Civil Aviation Ministry during 2012 to 2014 but Scamsters Babus didn't worked in public interest. Instead they granted excessive benefits to fraudsters to get posted in Constitutional bodies in quid pro quo arrangements. One such person is Shri K.N.Srivastava who was Civil Aviation Secretary from 2012 to 2014 and to avoid his introgation in the Air India Scam and King fisher Scam, he was appointed to the post of Member CAT. Sitting in CAT in a Judicial post,  he can influence the probe and so he must be removed immediately. I have already written to Chief Justice of India to remove him as a step to clean up the Judiciary from such black sheeps.
Grewal said that it is a matter of pride that new Attorney General K.K.Venugopal has displayed the highest level of probity and transparency in Official Matters. He said that this working culture shall be emulated at all levels in Judiciary. It is a matter of concern that IAS officers appointed in various Judicial bodies failed to ensure transparency in their work culture and try to take advantage of their earlier relations with Government Officers while discharging Judicial and Quasi-Judicial responsibilities. Such actions are blatant and flagrant violation of their oath of Offices while getting appointed on Judicial postings.
He said that Shri K.N.Srivastava has worked as Joint Secretary and as Secretary Ministry of Civil Aviation. Subsequently by the UPA Government he has been appointed as Member of Central Administrative Tribunal (Principal Bench) Delhi. It is a matter of concern that he is hearing and adjudicating in all those cases where officers who have worked with him earlier during his postings in Civil Aviation Ministry.
Grewal said that Shri K.N.Srivastava should have recused himself displaying highest degree of ethical and moral standards prescribed for the persons holding Judicial positions, but he has participated openly in cases and matters where his old colleagues / sub-ordinates appeared before him and granted them favours by agreeing to requests made by them in his court.
He said that Shri Prashant Sukul, 1982 IDAS  officer has worked under him as Joint Secretary in Ministry of Civil Aviation. Instead of recusing himself from hearing his case, he sat in the double bench and heard the case on 01-03-2017 , 31-03-2017 , 25-05-2017 and delivered the orders of the CAT indicating his name in the Order Sheet pertaining to these days. Shri Sukul had requested for long dates which was not only agreed but he was allowed to submit Miscellaneous applications without filing reply to the Petition. Such actions are against the basic tenants of Judicial Process and proceedings. The case pertains to appointment of ‘Controller General Defence Accounts’ which is a Secretary level post and in such cases where high level postings are to be made, he should have recused himself rather than siding with one of the party and sitting in Judgment to favour him in Judicial proceedings.
The favour which he has already granted to shri Sukul cannot be reversed. In a case pertaining to irregular appointments in violation of recruitment rules for the post , the time lost by granting long dates of hearing jumping almost 2 months on 2 occasion has brought out in a cogent manner the favours granted to the party involved in the case. This incidents confirms the needs for reforms in the appointment in Judicial side, which NDA Government is pressing for.
Grewal also told that the details about working together in the same Ministry of Shri K.N. Srivastava and Shri Prashant Sukul are available on the internet. One such copy is enclosed for ready reference.
